RUN PROGRAM
SHORTCUT EXECUTION OF PROGRAMS WITH RUN
In Windows-based operating systems, there is a program called Run, located in the Start menu, which can be used to run some programs.
Below you can see how to access this program.
You can also access the program by pressing Win + R.
After opening the program a window should appear.
In this window you can run the program by typing the name of some programs you want to run in the box next to “Open:”. For example, a list is given below.
- To run the calculator, type “calc” and click “OK”.
- To run the command line, type “cmd” and click “OK”.
- To run the Firefox browser, type “firefox” and click “OK”.
- To run the Internet Explorer browser, type “iexplore” and click “OK”.
- To run the Word application, you must type “winword” and click the “OK” button.
- To run the Excel application, you must type “excel” and then click the “OK” button.
- To run Outlook, you must type “outlook” and then click “OK”.
- To run the Notepad application, you should type “notepad” and then click the “OK” button.
- To run Wordpad, type “wordpad” and click the “OK” button.
- Type “control panel” and click “OK” to open the control panel.
- To shut down your computer, type “shutdown” and click “OK”.
- To restart your computer, type “shutdown -r” and click “OK”.
- To log off, type “logoff” and click “OK”.
- To access the Registry Editor, type “regedit” and click “OK”.
- To run the task manager, type “taskmgr” and click “OK”.
- To run Remote Desktop Connection, type “mstsc” and click “OK”.
- To run the On-Screen Keyboard, you should type “osk” and then click the “OK” button.
- To run Remote Desktop Connection, you should type “mstsc” and click the “OK” button.
