WHAT IS RES?

Energy generated from renewable energy sources continues to contribute significantly to Turkey’s demand. Wind Power Plants (WPPs), which are one of them, are more advantageous than others in terms of continuity and operating costs, despite their high investment costs. WPPs utilize environmental conditions at the maximum level with their structure spread over a wide geography. WPPs are the most suitable power plants for expansion compared to other power plants that produce with limited facilities. Both the productivity and environmental factors of the region where WPPs are established need to be analyzed well. WPPs have a structure that looks like a wind rose field. Recently, the demand for Scada system in the transformer center of WPPs has increased. As AVD, our SCADA and automation solutions have increased in WPP projects and we are rapidly increasing our references in WPPs. Scada architectures in WPPs are slightly different compared to other power plants, and WPPs have relatively easier architectures with variable I/O numbers.

While WPP investments are increasing day by day, the manufacturers of wind turbines used in WPPs have had to increase their investments in Turkey. WPPs have a structure in which manufacturers that make special production for them are in the majority. One or more of these are open to integrated solutions in WPPs.

WPP investment companies generally always invest in WPP. Rare investors also invest in different production plants. Thanks to WPP investments, settlements that can generate electricity with wind energy are increasing. The necessary licenses for wind energy-based production tests are issued by EMRA.
