WHAT IS WFCS?

Natural Gas Cycle Power Plants (NGCCPP) have an important place among modern power generation techniques due to their ease of installation and operation. Natural gas is a gas mixture and contains mainly (95% – 99%) Methane gas. For this reason, very few harmful gas emissions occur in systems using natural gas. In addition, the widespread natural gas network allows natural gas cycle power plants to be installed more widely in our country and around the world. The basic working principle of natural gas cycle power plants is to convert the energy generated by the combustion of natural gas into electricity, heat or cooling energy.

Natural gas cycle power plants (NGCCPPs) are classified as dgcs-tribun power generation methods as single cycle, dual cycle or co-generation and triple cycle or tri-generation. In single cycle natural gas cycle power plants, only electricity is produced, while in dual cycle power plants, electricity and heat are produced, and the secondary heat energy of these plants can be utilized as steam hot water or electricity. Three-cycle natural gas power plants generate electricity, heat and cooling energy. Again, the waste heat generated in these systems can be converted into electricity.

Natural gas cycle power plants (NGCCPPs) can also be divided into two types in terms of the main equipment that generates electricity. While gas engine natural gas cycle power plants are generally preferred for small capacity power generation, gas turbine natural gas cycle power plants are used in high capacity power generation facilities. The capacities of natural gas cycle power plants start from 1 MWatt and can reach over 3000 MWatt.

Automation systems are the most important units of natural gas combined cycle power plants. DCS based control systems of natural gas cycle power plants and RMS A (Pressure Reduction and Measurement Station) RTU or DCS based control systems that provide the gas supply of the system can be provided by our company. OPGW is a communication system that enables electricity generation facilities to communicate with TEİAŞ central SACADA. TEİAŞ requires all consumers and producers with a consumption value over 50 MWatt to send some information to TEİAŞ central SACADA via OPGW system.
