TOUCH ON MEMORY (TOM)

A TOM (Touch-on Memory) is a touch-based memory unit capable of high-speed communication over a single wire.
A TOM does not need a reader containing expensive electronic materials to communicate.
Each TOM has a unique and unchangeable serial number that is valid worldwide. The manufacturer guarantees that there will be no other TOM in the world with the serial number of that TOM. The tracking of the TOM in the database environment is done with this serial number.
The diameter of the TOM is 16.3 mm and the thickness is 5.9 mm.

WHAT IS DS1963S?

  • It is a product of the TOM range.
  • The size of the memory unit is 512 characters.

ELECTRONIC TICKET (AKBİL)

It has been used as an Electronic Ticket by approximately 3 million users in Istanbul since 1995. Thanks to TOM, which is used in XXX different authorities and supports different transfer features, it is easy to use a single type of ticket in different transportation vehicles. Having a long lifespan of 8 years and not being affected by magnetic fields, heat, water, etc., ease of transportation and storage has facilitated its use as a ticket.

PERSONNEL ATTENDANCE CONTROL SYSTEM (PDKS)

The fields inside the TOM make it possible to use it in different applications. A TOM used as a ticket can also be used as a Personnel Identification TOM.

Information about the personnel (Name, Surname, Date of Birth, Registration Number, etc.) can be written on the TOMs that can be defined as Personnel Identification and controlled at the desired points.

OTOPARK GİRİŞ/ÇIKIŞ KONTROL SİSTEMİ

TOMs, which are defined as membership cards, can be used for control purposes at the entrance/exit of the parking lot by writing the information of the vehicle using the parking lot and the driver when necessary. Parking lot pricing can be done automatically and in a short time, and the occupancy rate of the parking lot and subscriber tracking can be done easily.

GUARD CONTROL SYSTEM

TOM can be used to monitor whether critical areas that need to be located or controlled at certain points at certain times are checked or not. It can be monitored by checking the TOM touches whether the people in charge visit the reading points placed at the control points at specified intervals.

DOOR ENTRY/EXIT CONTROL SYSTEM

With the Door Control System installed at the door/office/warehouse etc. room entrances, unauthorized people can be prevented from entering/exiting. Each door entrance is authorized by introducing the TOMs of the persons authorized to use that place, and the TOMs of unauthorized persons are blocked by the system and entry/exit control can be provided. If the system is desired to be used on-line, office/room entrances can be monitored continuously by establishing a connection with CCTV.

CAFETERIA CONTROL SYSTEM

TOM can also be used in systems established to maintain order in environments where a large number of people eat and to control and regulate the use of meal credits. People’s meal entitlements (credits) are written on their TOMs and read and evaluated at the entrance or exit of the cafeteria. Statistical information about users can also be extracted.

ELECTRONIC WALLET APPLICATION

One of the application areas of TOMs, which has the feature of securely storing the data written in it, is its use as an Electronic Wallet. It acts as a kind of wallet by reducing the credits written in the loading machines at the spending points. In hotels, canteens, etc., where money spending is high, payments can be made using TOMs instead of carrying money.

VENDING MACHINES

TOM applications can also be used in coin or token operated vending machines such as Cola, Biscuit, Coffee Vending Machines etc. When shopping from vending machines, the credit in the TOM is used. Using TOM in these vending machines eliminates the problem of constantly carrying coins or tokens.

AGRICULTURAL APPLICATIONS (TRANSPORTATION TIME CONTROL, MATERIAL COUNTING CONTROL)

TOMs are also utilized in agricultural tracking operations due to their ability to store and read data. Especially when tracking materials that need to be transported in a certain time and temperature/cold, the data on the transportation conditions are written on TOMs fixed to the crates or transport containers, and then read and evaluated. Thus, it is possible to track where, when and under what conditions the materials are stored and transported. In environments such as the market area where materials are entered/exited, these operations are carried out in much shorter times and losses are reduced.

HOSPITAL APPLICATIONS (PATIENT TRACKING)

One of the most common places where TOMs are used is in hospital settings where patient follow-up is performed. Information about the patient (name, relatives, blood type, disease, treatment and medication, etc.) is written on the TOMs mounted on a bracelet worn on the wrist of the patient. This information can be read from the TOM during periodic examinations/controls of the patient. Since each patient’s TOM is unique, confusion, deletion or loss of information is prevented.

EDUCATION (ID, MEMBERSHIP CARD)

The education sector is also an area where TOM applications are frequently used. In schools, TOMs are used as student IDs, library and sports facility membership cards. Since TOM, which is used as an ID card, can also be used as a membership card and electronic wallet, the necessity of carrying different ID/membership cards for each student is eliminated. The school registration information of the student can also be recorded in the TOM, which facilitates the work followed in student affairs.

CARE MONITORING

In factory environments, certain devices need to be maintained periodically. TOMs placed on these devices can be checked regularly by writing information about that device (such as maintenance period, maintenance type, date of last maintenance, maintenance person and latest status).

PRODUCTION TRACKING

In places where continuous production is carried out, TOMs are used to code the materials belonging to a department. Information about the material produced can be recorded in the TOMs and tracking/stocking/classification can be ensured.

IMOBILIZER

TOMs are also preferred in imobilizier applications due to their unique serial number. By scanning the TOM serial number through a circuit connected to the ignition key of the vehicle, the vehicle is started, thus making it impossible to use the vehicle without the TOM of that vehicle.
