TSE AND STANDARDIZATION STUDIES

The fact that standardization has become important in economic and social life has led countries to take various measures to implement the prepared standards. Establishing product certification systems in terms of direct contact with the manufacturer and providing assurance for the consumer has been seen as the most effective tool that can be achieved in the short term. Today, in many countries of the world, product certification is carried out under the responsibility and within the responsibility of national standard organizations.

The Turkish Standards Institute started product certification with the “Certification of Conformity to Standards (granting the right to use the TSE brand)” in 1964. With this practice, it was aimed to establish and spread the awareness of producing goods in accordance with the standards and high quality level in the producers, and the protection of the safety of consumers’ lives and property was ensured.

TSE Institute continues its product and service certification activities in 5 main groups by ensuring the adaptation required by the conditions of the day.

These are;

  • Certification of laboratories,
  • Certification of service locations,
  • Certification of production sites,
  • Certification of products,
  • Certification of vehicles transporting hazardous waste by road.
