WHAT IS REACTOR AUTOMATION?
Today, as with everything else, only mass production is not very meaningful. However, if production is realized in a fast, standardized, safe and error-free manner, it can be said to meet today’s requirements. Easy and reliable production and management in the industry is basically possible by operating the process correctly and controlling it at every step. In the chemical industry, the importance of automation is such that it accepts the least error due to the quality and quantity of variables in production. Therefore, the quality threshold of the sensors and controllers used in production must increase, and the same expectation applies to software and algorithms.
REACTOR AUTOMATION
The automation system can be built from scratch or integrated into an existing facility if it meets the necessary conditions. System to be installed;
- Type of reaction,
- Physical and chemical properties of reactants,
- Prescribing and dojazation,
- Reactor type,
- Heat transfer line technical specifications,
- It depends on many parameters such as measurement and control points.
The system to be installed can be for a simple process such as premix mixing or for a sensitive product such as a polymerization for which R&D and scale-up production will be carried out. Therefore, the system (process, hardware and software) should be determined after a good multidisciplinary engineering study.
